A Rainy Day Off

She danced. She danced, lost in the moment and drunk. She danced. Abandoned, tipsy, and wearing nothing but a tank top and panties, right in the middle of the kitchen.

She was frying up savory French toast. She was drinking a vodka-and-beer combo. She started with "Walking on Sunshine", the song she used to sing when she was bored with work, which means always.

Then came the "Shake It Off." Finally, she bounced along to "ME!", though she was no longer enjoying it; she was merely driven by her blood and the alcohol, which wasn't much, but it hit her hard on en empty stomach.

She remembered when they used to do all this together, and that was the end of it.
